New records highlight Earlham win over Anderson

 ANDERSON, Ind. - New records and program firsts highlight Earlham volleyball win over Anderson University.


Earlham won sets one three and four after Anderson narrowly won the second set 26-24.


The Quakers beat Anderson on all sides of the ball. Anderson has 27 hitting errors to Earlham's 17, and 71 digs to Earlham's 86.


The Quakers had an exceptional game defending the net, tallying four blocks total.


Three different Quakers earned double digit kills in this contest. Abbey Zanatta lead the team with 16 followed by Ashleigh Burton (15) and Caroline Mulvihill (10).


Megan Hedinger led the team in digs with 27. Hedinger not only broke the 26-year old all time dig record of 1803 in this match, but she surpassed it with three matches left in the season.


This win improves the Quakers to 4-3 in the HCAC play. Head Coach Lauren Horton is the first to lead this program to win four matches in the HCAC ever.
