LEXINGTON, Ky. – The third-seeded Earlham College volleyball team will advance to the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament championship for the first time since joining the HCAC after a 3-2 (25-18, 25-27, 25-23, 18-25, 18-16) win over two-seeded Hanover College, on Saturday evening.
The Quakers will play no. 1 seed Transylvania University on Sunday, Nov. 10, at Transylvania University's Clive Beck Center.
Sophomore Sarah Dickman led Earlham (20-8) with 20 kills on 58 attacks with a .275 attack percentage. Sophomore Caroline Mulvihill added 18 kills, junior Julia Stewart tallied 17 kills and sophomore Giselle Mora charted 10 kills. Earlham totaled 74 kills. Senior Sydney Ameluxen led the team in digs with 25 while she was one of five Quakers that recorded double digit digs. As a team, the Quakers had a .244 hitting percentage.
Senior Lauren Jackson finished the night with 61 assists as she continues to add to her historic assist record now totaling 4,089 for her career.
Senior Angelica Carpio totaled three of the Quakers five aces on the night.
Hanover (18-11) was led offensively by Adrianne Vance with 24 kills with teammate Emma Rolf adding 16 kills. The Panthers hit .199 for the match.
Ally Williams had a match-high 29 digs to lead Hanover.
