Women's Cross Country Claims Red Wolf Rumble Crown for Second Straight Year

RICHMOND, Indiana – The Earlham College women's cross country team won its second consecutive Red Wolf Rumble hosted by Indiana University East (IU East) on Friday.

The Quakers tallied 19 team points compared to 41 points from the hosts.

Freshman Ellie Haland earned the individual title with a 12:21.1 finish in the three-kilometer race. Fellow freshman Mairead Blatner took second place with a 12:31.7 time.

Ashley Toschlog of IU East finished third, but two more Quakers crossed the finish line in the fourth and fifth spots. Junior Rachel Wilkins (12:36.8) and freshman Ana Sosa-Ebert (12:37.6) finished fourth and fifth respectively while also concluding the race less than a second from each other. Earlham also picked up points from freshmen Jasmine Lorenzana and Lindsey Gearin as well as junior Leah Johnson finished inside the top 10.

The Quakers return to action at the Wittenberg University Invitational on Sept. 2.
