LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Earlham College women's cross country team had runners in two different races during Saturday's Live In Lou Cross Country Classic, held at the E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park.
In the women's Blue 5K race, junior Mairead Blatner was the top finisher with a time of 22:13.9, finishing 399th in the field of 533 runners.
The majority of the Earlham women's cross country contingent race in the women's Silver 5K, which ultimately was shortened to a 3.9K race for points only due to part of the field following the lead vehicle onto the wrong course. Redshirt junior Shabnam Fayyaz was the top Earlham runner in the Silver race, finishing 181st overall and 179th in points.
Earlham cross country returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 19, when the Quakers run in the Oberlin Inter-Region Rumble.
