Shane Mills was named Head Cross Country Coach in June of 2022 after serving as Interim Head Coach and Assistant Coach for the 2021-22 season.
Mills was a member of the coaching staff during the 2021 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship for Earlham men's cross country in the fall of 2021. The championship was the program's first in 25 years since the 1996 squad won the NCAC Championship. While with the Quakers as Interim, he led Connor Del Carmen to a school record in the 5k and 10k events as the freshmann went on to win HCAC Newcomer of the Year at the conference meet.
With the track program, Mills coached 2021 women's 800 meter run champion Shianna Bellingham. The distance team also flourished in 2022 as Elena Stirn and Connor Del Carmen both scored podium finished at the conference championship meet.
A 2019 graduate of Albion College, Mills excelled in track and cross country for the Britons in his four years of competition.
He currently resides in Richmond.
