Box Score RICHMOND, Ind. — A pair of scores in the third quarter on Saturday hurt the Earlham College football team on Saturday as the Quakers fell to Anderson University 45-15.
The Ravens led 10-7 at halftime of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest in Darrell Beane Stadium before scoring at 13:48 and 13:40 of the third period to grab a 24-7 advantage to take control of the affair.
Earlham scored the first touchdown of the afternoon as Levi Hansen had a 37-yard run that gave the Quakers a 7-0 lead with 13 seconds remaining in the opening stanza.
Anderson (1-3, 1-1) responded with 10 points in the second period and would eventually lead 31-15 after three quarters.
Hansen had Earlham's other touchdown on a 2-yard run in the third frame. He finished with 57 yards rushing.
Brennan Laird completed 15-of-38 passes for 164 yards. Jalen Kenner had five catches for 70 yards.
Marcaus Cooper, Malik Reid and Wesley Hundley had three receptions each.
Mason Davis led the Earlham defense with nine tackles, while Junior Jean finished with eight tackles.
The Quakers (0-4, 0-2) entertain Mount St. Joseph University next Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
