Box Score BLUFFTON, Ohio – Sophomore quarterback Wesley Hundley gained 307 total yards, but the Bluffton Beavers scored the game's first 37 points en route to a 51-20 victory over the Earlham College football team on Saturday.
The Beavers (3-3, 2-2 HCAC) scored on touchdown passes of 29, 66, five, and 39 yards along with a 24-yard rushing touchdown from Tyler Carroll and a safety to score their 37 first half points.
Earlham (0-7, 0-5 HCAC) answered with the first touchdown of the second half on a 37-yard run from Hundley. The Gardnerville, Nev., native also found senior wide receiver Jalen Kenner in the end zone twice in the fourth quarter.
Kenner finished with five receptions for 53 yards and two touchdowns. Sophomore Marcaus Cooper hauled in eight passes for 79 yards.
On defense, sophomore Ishmael MacNeil made 8.5 tackles and also hauled in one interception.
For Bluffton, Devante Thomas-Wright ran the ball 11 times for 102 yards and a touchdown. Micah Roberson added five receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown.
Earlham concludes the road portion of its schedule next Saturday at Defiance. Kickoff is slated for 1:30 p.m.
