RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College football team scored on its opening drive, but the Fightin' Engineers from Rose-Hulman scored the next 36 points en route to a 64-13 victory over the Quakers at Darrell Beane Stadium on Saturday.

The Earlham offense opened the afternoon with a 12-play, 79-yard drive capped by a touchdown pass from sophomore quarterback Wesley Hundley to fellow sophomore wide receiver Marcaus Cooper.

Rose-Hulman, which came in as the third-rated offense in the HCAC, tied the game at 7-7 when wide receiver Aaron Abbott caught a bubble screen and scampered 77 yards for a touchdown.

The game would remain deadlock through the first quarter, but the Engineers scored 29 straight points to take a 36-7 lead at halftime.

The Engineers put the game out of reach scoring 22 points in the third quarter. The Quakers scored the final points of the game as Hundley found Cooper once again with 3:38 remaining in regulation.

Hundley finished with 107 yards through the air and 100 yards on the ground. Senior wide receiver Jalen Kenner hauled in five catches for 58 yards in his final career game. The Reverse, La., native closes out his career with at least one reception in 39 straight games.

Abbott led the Engineers with 91 yards and two touchdowns rushing to go along with 146 yards and a score on six receptions. Quarterback Chris Johannigmann passed for 251 yards and four touchdowns.
