Box Score ANDERSON, Ind. – Senior wide receiver Jalen Kenner hauled in nine passes for 209 yards and a touchdown, but the Earlham College football team was held scoreless in the second half as the Quakers fell at Anderson 51-20 on Saturday.
The Ravens (1-3, 1-1 HCAC) scored the game's first two touchdowns in an 11-second span. Brady Cavinee connected with Deon Alexander on a three-yard touchdown pass with 11:34 to play in the first quarter. On the ensuing kickoff, sophomore Marcaus Cooper fumbled at the 18-yard line which was picked up by Anderson and returned for a touchdown.
The Quakers responded with a 65-yard touchdown connection from sophomore quarterback Wesley Hundley to Kenner. A drive later, Earlham trailed 20-7, but two straight touchdown passes from Hundley to Cooper tied the game 20-20 with 11:25 to play in the second quarter.
Anderson would score the final 10 points of the half to take a 30-20 lead into halftime.
The Ravens held the Quakers scoreless in the final two quarters while scoring 21 points.
Earlham totaled 442 yards as a team compared to 602 for Anderson. Both teams were turnover prone as the Ravens threw three interceptions compared to four for the Quakers.
Individually, Hundley three for 313 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. Cooper finished with 10 receptions for 132 yards. Kenner's 209 receiving yards makes him the program's career leader in receptions yards. Kenner breaks the record previously held by Joe White with 2,543 career reception yards.
Anderson's Deon Alexander caught seven passes for 174 yards and four touchdowns. Josh Adkins ran 19 times for 138 yards.
Earlham dips to 0-4 on the year and travels to Mount St. Joseph next Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
