CARMEL -- After breaking the school record at the NCAA Division III Pre Nationals meet, Earlham College freshman Connor del Carmen has been honored as HCAC Runner of the Week. 

Del Carmen finished the event in 31st place with a time of 25:21 in the 8k race, four seconds faster than the previous school record. The meet featured over 300 athletes in the men's "silver" division, and saw many top teams coming to prepare for the NCAA Championships in November. 

This is the first time Del Carmen has received this conference award. 

Del Carmen and the rest of the Quakers will be in action on Friday, October 15 at the Jenna Strong Fall Classic at Wilmington College.
