Men's tennis completes ITA Regionals

Kalamazoo, Mich. -- The Earlham College Men's Tennis team concluded its fall season this weekend at the ITA Regional Tournament art Kalamazoo.

Senior Sarthak Sharma and First Year Dev Agrawal represented the Quakers in the highly competitive tournament that draws the top players from throughout the region.

The tournament started with doubles, where Sharma and Agrawal matched up against a strong team from Depauw and lost 8-3. They then drew a team from defending national champion Case Western and acquitted themselves well, recording an early break of serve, before falling 8-3. 

The tournament continued with singles where Sharma, playing in his last collegiate competition, had a close first round loss before recording the Quakers' lone win of the tournament 6-2 5-7 10-8 over Caleb Schuring of Alma. Sharma's tournament ended with a hard fought 6-2 6-4 loss in the following round.

Dev Agrawal was defeated 6-0 6-3 in his opening singles match and then battled into a third set tiebreak before falling to Saranpahon Siriwanichkul of Ohio Wesleyan 6-4 2-6 9-11.
