SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The Earlham College track and field team began its 2023-24 season at the Tiger Opener hosted by Wittenberg University on Saturday.

Abraham Sadiq broke two school records in the 200 meter dash and the long jump. Sadiq recorded a time of 23.15 seconds in the one-lap race, and jumped 6.77 meters. His jump placed him second overall in the meet. 

Abigail Kirby scored a fifth-place finish in the high jump, finishing behind two NCAA DI athletes with a jump of 4' 11". Her mark would have finished second in the 2023 HCAC Indoor Championships last season. 

The Quakers will come back after Christmas Break for MSJ Invitational on January 20.
