RICHMOND — The Earlham College golf teams hosted 16 teams from 5 states in the Forest Hills Fall Invitational. 

Women's Coach Matt Brown said, "The support that Earlham Golf receives from the Richmond community is truly special. We particularly want to thank Forest Hills Country Club and B & F Plastics for their support, both financial and in-kind." 

As for the golf, the Earlham men placed 4th of 11 teams and the "B" squad placed 8th.

Highlights included junior Charles Bowen-Rayner's second day score of even par 71 which was the best round of day. Sophomore Vassily Lombard and junior Mychal McKelvey tied for 7th place at +11. 

The tournament was won by Franklin College and individually by Troy Loughry of Point Park University at +2. 

Head Coach, CD Hockersmith added, "On Day 2, there were positives for sure. We have some things build on and things to work on going into the off week." 

The men are in action again on September 30 at Mount St. Joseph.

On the women's side, senior Mary Jo Easley led the Quakers with a two day total of 201, good for 25th place. 

The tournament was won by MSJ by one stroke over Spalding. Alyssa Haverstraw of MSJ won a two hole playoff to claim the individual title. 

Next weekend the women's squad is in Marion, Ind. for the Manchester Fall Invitational.
