RICHMOND, Indiana – The Earlham Men's Golf program continued their strong late season surge by finishing tied for 2nd place in the Earlham Spring Invitational at the Richmond Elks Country Club. The club shot 309-293 – 602, nine shots off the pace set by Franklin College in the 9-team event.

The Quakers were led by junior Charles Bowen-Rayner (London, England) who f inished in 2nd place in the individual competition, 74-72 – 146. His birdie putt on the f inal hole to tie for the lead and force a playoff ran just by the cup. Also finishing in the top 10 for the tournament, first-year Arthur Del Bourgo (Metz, France) who shot 78-73 – 151, good for 8th place. Junior Ben Pratt (Athens, Ohio) also carded a career best 76 on day one in route to a solid top 20 finish.

The Earlham Women's Golf team hosted their spring event at Liberty Country Club, but injuries and illness prevented any Quakers from completing the 36-hole event which was won by Mt. St. Joseph College.

The men return to action Monday at the Sagamore Shootout in Noblesville, Indiana hosted by Indiana Wesleyan, a make-up event after last weekend's wash out, and is the regular season finale for the men.

The women conclude their regular season next weekend at The Legends GC in Franklin, Indiana.
