RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College tennis teams both scored a 4-3 win over Alma College on Homecoming to conclude the fall slate.
The women's squad swept doubles play, led by
Vanessa Akuaku and
Lawrencia Manu in the No.1 spot with a 7-5 win.
Mackenzie Davis and
Paige Hobbs scored a 6-3 win at No.2 doubles, and
Antonia Dean and
Natalee McCann scored a 7-6 win in third doubles.
Manu also scored a win in singles with a 5-7, 6-1, 6-2 score at No.2. Davis and Hobbs also picked up singles wins at No.3 and No.4 respectively with two-set wins.
Ivan Wularu led the men's team with a 6-2, 6-4 win in No.1 singles.
Dreek Saha scored a 6-1, 6-1 win at No.2 singles, and
Juan Diego Pachon Hernandez won his No.3 matchup 6-0, 6-2.
Shantanu Nagrath rounded out the Quaker scoring with a win at No.5 singles 6-0, 6-1.
Wularu and Saha picked up the win at No.1 doubles with a final score of 6-4.
