CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Earlham College men's tennis team scored its best win of the season so far with a 4-3 result over Maryville College on Friday afternoon.
Ivan Wualru led off the lineup with a 6-5, 6-2 win at No.1 singles.
Dreek Saha also took a singles win with a 6-1, 6-4 result at No.2.
Shantanu Nagrath won at No.4 singles with a 6-1, 7-6(7-5) result. The final singles matches went into deep tiebreakers with
Jackson Swopes falling 2-6, 7-6(17-15), 0-1(7-10) at No.5 singles. In No.6 singles,
Sanjil Magar fell 7-5, 2-6, 0-1(3-10).
Earlham swept doubles play with a 6-3 win at No.1 by Wularu and Saha, a 6-3 win at No.2 by Nagrath and Swopes, and a 6-3 win at No.3 by
Dev Agrawal and
Pedro Conci Rodrigues.
Earlham is slated to host Anderson University on Monday at 4 pm.
