PORTAGE, Michigan – The most decorated senior class in Earlham College Men's Golf history added a feather by winning the Steven Tyler Memorial Invitational hosted by Kalamazoo College at the renowned Moors Golf Club.

The Quakers notched an 11-shot victory over top-seeded Heidelberg in the 5-team event.

Mychal McKelvey (Sr., Plain City, OH) won the event with a +2, 74, winning by one shot over Heidelberg's Josh Ferdon. In doing so, McKelvey becomes the first Men's Golfer in history to win multiple individual titles in his career. Vassily Lombard (Jr., Vineuil-Saint-Firmin, France) finished 3rd notching his second All-Tournament team this week. Adam Strecker (Sr., Apopka, FL) also made the All-Tournament team with a 5th place finish and Hudson Roebken (Sr., Centerville, OH) was the fourth Quaker in the Top 10 finishing 7th.

"We broke the skein!" Head Coach Matt Brown shared. "After 7 runners-up finishes since our last win, this one is special. These five seniors (Charles Bowen-Rayner (Sr., London, England) and Ben Pratt (Sr., Athens, OH) plus the three mentioned above) and Vassily who is graduating as well, have changed the trajectory of this program. They should be proud of their accomplishments both on and off the course."

The Quakers host the HCAC Championship at Forest Hills Country Club, May 9 – 11.
