Matt Brown joined the Earlham College athletic department as an Associate Men's Golf coach for the return of the program in 2021, he has also served as the Director of the Quantitative Research Center since 2017. In 2023, Brown was named Head Women's Golf Coach. Brown also took over the men's program as Head Coach in 2024. He has been at the helm of both programs since.
Prior to Earlham, Brown was the Head Golf Coach at IUPUC from 2011-12.
Brown played golf collegiately at Hanover College for four years. He participated in the NAIA National Championship Tournament in 1980, and was a medalist in the 1980 Cincinnati Enquirer Invitational at Xavier University.
Brown resides in Richmond with his wife, Barbara. They have two grown children, and three grandchildren.
