MEADVILLE, Pa. — Two goals in the second half on Saturday was all
Allegheny College needed to defeat the
Earlham College men's soccer team 2-1 in a North Coast Athletic Conference contest.
The Gators (6-6-1, 1-3-1) scored at 48:54 and 58:27 to grab a 2-0 before the Quakers found the goal late in the match.
Irhad Strika scored at the 88:32 mark on a header with
Nick Costello assisting for the Quakers.
Allegheny led 18-6 in shots and 12-3 in corner kicks. Earlham goalkeeper
Jonah Kreniske had four saves for the Quakers.
Earlham (6-5-3, 1-3-1) visits Wittenberg University on Wednesday. The NCAC match gets underway at 7 p.m.
