Franklin Spoils Volleyball Home Opener

RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College volleyball team opened the season on Tuesday with a 26-24, 23-25, 25-18, 25-22 loss to Franklin College on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.

Keeley McAnnis-Entenman led the Quakers with 11 kills, while Andrea Thompson added six. Ramona Hemmings, Nikki Darrett and Elizabeth Ross added four each.

Alicia Kees topped the Quakers with 26 assists, while Darrett led the way with 13 digs. McAnnis-Entenman finished with 12 digs and four blocks. Ross added nine digs and four blocks.

Thompson had seven service aces to lead Earlham with Ross contributing five.

The Quakers (0-1) face Principia College in the first round of the EC Quaker Classic. The home match begins at 5 p.m. Thompson had seven service aces to lead Earlham with Ross contributing five.
