Quakers Earn Another Double Overtime Victory

Box Score RICHMOND, Ind. For the second time this season, Nick Costello ended a game with a goal.

Costello had the only score for the Earlham College men's soccer team Saturday afternoon as the Quakers defeated Hanover College 1-0 in double overtime on Matlack Field.

At the 1:08:30 mark, Costello found the goal for the third time this season with an assist coming from Jimmy Carter. Last week, Costello beat the Adrian College goalkeeper with a score in double overtime in a 2-1 win.

On Saturday, Earlham had a 24-6 advantage in shots over Hanover (1-2), including 4-0 in the extra sessions. The Quakers also led 7-1 in corner kicks.

Goalkeeper Jonah Kreniske had two saves for the Quakers, who have not lost since the season opener and have won two in a row.

The Quakers (3-1-1) entertain Anderson University on Tuesday. The non-conference contest begins at 4 p.m.
