PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — The Earlham College volleyball team finished the Garnet Classic at Swarthmore College with a win on Sunday.
Swarthmore defeated Earlham 22-25, 25-14, 25-12, 25-16 in the semifinals, but the Quakers bounced back with a 25-21, 21-25, 23-25, 25-12, 15-9 victory over Albright College.
Ramona Hemmings led the Quakers with 15 kills, 16 digs and five blocks against Albright. For her efforts, Hemmings was selected to the all-tournament team.
Keeley McAnnis-Entenman added 13 kills, while
Andrea Thompson finished with 11 kills.
Alicia Kees had 35 assists with Hemmings and
Aleta Cox each contributing three service aces.
Against Swarthmore, McAnnis-Entenman led the Quakers with 11 kills, while Hemmings added six kills.
Ashlee Heberger had 24 assists. McAnnis-Entenman had a team-high 10 digs.
Elizabeth Ross finished with five blocks.
Earlham (2-7) entertains Defiance College Wednesday on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center. The non-conference match begins at 7 p.m.
