Quakers Shutout Franklin College

Box Score FRANKLIN, Ind. Two goals in the first half was all the Earlham College women's soccer team needed on Tuesday as the Quakers blanked Franklin College 2-0.

Lauren Berry got the Quakers on the scoreboard first with an unassisted goal at 15:57. It was her fourth goal of the season. Ikumi Doucette found the net for the third time this fall at 33:34 to give Earlham its two-goal advantage at intermission.

Earlham had a 29-0 lead in shots over the Grizzlies (2-7-1) with a 1-0 edge in corner kicks. Goalkeeper Kate Franks, making her first start of the season, was never challenged and received credit for a shutout.

The Quakers (7-3) return to action at home on Saturday against Oberlin College. The North Coast Athletic Conference match on Matlack Field gets underway at noon.
