RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College women's soccer team won its second straight match on Friday as the Quakers beat Adrian College 3-0 in the opening contest of the El Rodeo Raven/Quaker Classic on Matlack Field.
Lauren Berry scored in the first half to give the Quakers a 1-0 advantage at 14:15 with Joy Doucette assisting on the play.
In the second half, the Quakers got a pair of unassisted goals to put the contest away. Doucette scored at 58:31, while Callie Thompson finished the contest off with her score at 70:54.
Earlham held a 21-7 advantage in shots, while leading the Bulldogs (0-2) in corner kicks 9-3. Megan Holthaus had three saves for the Quakers.
Earlham (2-0) faces Lawrence University on Saturday in the next round of the El Rodeo Raven/Quaker Classic. The non-conference match is set for 1 p.m.
