RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College volleyball team couldn't keep the momentum on Friday night as the Quakers fell 21-25, 25-17, 25-14, 25-21 to Manchester College on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.
"Defensively, we played well," Earlham Head Coach Natalie Alred said. "We tried a few new things tonight and had some success."
Callie Kinsey (Richmond, IN, Richmond) led the Quakers with 15 kills and three service aces, while
Jazmyn Corlew (Elyria, OH, Elyria) added a dozen kills.
Andrea Thompson (McCordsville, IN, Muncie Burris) finished with seven kills.
Ashlee Heberger (Fairport, NY, Fairport) led Earlham with 34 assists.
Kazondra Ramos (Commerce, CA, El Rancho) and
Sadie Harmeyer (Connersville, IN, Lincoln) topped the Quakers with 16 digs each, while Corlew and Kinsey contributed 10 digs apiece.
The Quakers (4-19, 0-7 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference) at Transylvania University next Friday. The HCAC contest begins at 7 p.m.
