EC Suffers Overtime Loss at Hanover

Box Score HANOVER, Ind. — The Earlham College women's soccer team had its six-match winning streak snapped on Saturday as the Quakers fell 1-0 in overtime at Hanover College.

The Panthers (8-5-1, 4-1) scored the game-winning goal at 96:13 to grab a share of first place in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

The top of the HCAC standings has the Quakers (9-4-1, 4-1), Panthers and Transylvania University (10-3-1, 4-1) in a first-place tie.

On Saturday, Earlham led 22-16 in shots against Hanover and held a 3-2 advantage in corner kicks, while goalkeeper Megan Holthaus (Harrison, OH, McAuley) had six saves for the Quakers.

Earlham visits Defiance College on Tuesday. The HCAC match begins at 4 p.m.
