RICHMOND, Ind. — Despite trailing in the third and final set, the Earlham College volleyball team was able to bounce back on Friday night to post a 25-20, 25-19, 26-24 victory over Wilmington College
Callie Kinsey (Richmond, IN, Richmond) led the Quakers with 11 kills in the non-conference match on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.
"I was very proud of the way of how we played," Earlham Head Coach Natalie Alred said. "It was definitely one of our better hitting performance of the year."
Coming back in the last set was a sign of growth for the young Quakers.
"They stuck with it and came from behind," Alred said. "It says a lot of about the character of this group. Hopefully, we can build on it."
Jazmyn Corlew (Elyria, OH, Elyria) added 10 kills and
Andrea Thompson (McCordsville, IN, Muncie Burris) finished with eight kills and a team-high three blocks.
Ashlee Heberger (Fairport, NY, Fairport) led the Quakers with 38 assists.
Kazondra Ramos (Commerce, CA, El Rancho) topped the squad with 15 digs.
Earlham (4-16) returns to action on Saturday as the Quakers entertain Bluffton University. The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match gets underway at noon.
