BEREA, Ohio — The Earlham College volleyball team dropped a pair of matches on Saturday in the Marcia French Memorial Invitational hosted by Baldwin-Wallace College.
The Quakers started the day with a 25-15, 25-20, 25-18 loss to the host team before they battled with Oberlin College in a 22-25, 12-25, 25-22, 25-20, 15-10 contest.
Callie Kinsey, who led the Quakers with 42 kills over the two-day event, was named to the all-tournament team.
Kinsey led the Quakers with eight kills and 19 digs against Baldwin-Wallace, while
Ramona Hemmings added seven kills.
Kazondra Ramos contributed 18 digs and
Ashlee Heberger topped the squad with 21 assists.
Against Oberlin, Hemmings led the Quakers with 14 kills and four aces, while adding 20 digs.
Kinsey finished with 13 kills, three aces and a dozen digs.
Andrea Thompson added 10 kills.
Ramos led Earlham with 25 digs and Heberger added a team-high 37 assists.
Earlham (2-7) returns to action next Saturday at Central State University. The non-conference match is at 1 p.m.
