WILBERFORCE, Ohio — The Earlham College volleyball team posted a 25-13, 25-12, 25-22 victory over Central State University on Saturday afternoon.
“We really focused on our transition defense this week in practice,” Earlham Head Coach Natalie Alred said. “It really showed in this match.”
Ramona Hemmings led the Quakers with 10 kills and a pair of blocks against the Marauders (0-6), while
Callie Kinsey and
Andrea Thompson added seven kills each.
Hemmings and
Ashlee Heberger had three aces to top the Quakers. Heberger also led the team with 21 assists.
Kazondra Ramos had 10 digs to pace the Quakers.
Earlham (3-7) begins play in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference at home on Wednesday against Hanover College. The match begins at 7 p.m.
