LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The
Earlham College women's volleyball team went 1-2 on Saturday as the Quakers participated in an event hosted by
Spalding University at the
MidAmerica Sports Center.
The Quakers won their opener 25-20, 25-12, 23-25, 25-16 over Ohio State University-Marion.
Rochester College beat the Quakers 25-22, 25-14, 25-22 in the second contest, while Spalding defeated Earlham 25-22, 25-21, 25-20.
Andrea Thompson led the Quakers with 11 kills in the win over OSU-Marion.
Ramona Hemmings added 10 kills.
Ashlee Heberger had 31 assists.
Kazondra Ramos led the way with five aces and 14 digs.
Against
Rochester, Hemmings had eight kills. Heberger finished with 22 assists and Ramos had 10 digs.
Hemmings and
Jazmyn Corlew led the Quakers with seven kills against Spalding. Heberger contributed 14 assists, while Thompson added four aces.
Earlham (2-2) is back on the road Wednesday at Manchester College. The match is considered non-conference and it starts at 7 p.m.
