RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College men's basketball team fell 72-50 to Anderson University Saturday afternoon on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.
Justin Barger (Ellettsville, IN, Edgewood) led the Quakers with 11 points and six rebounds against the leaders of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, who are now 14-5, 10-2.
Dustin Rusk (Frankfort, IN, Clinton Prairie) and
Colton Bragg (Richmond, IN, Richmond) finished with 10 points each.
Marty Broderick (Mooresville, IN, Mooresville) tossed in nine points, while
Marcus Bledsoe (Indianapolis, IN, Ritter) added eight points.
Kyle Tucker (Vincennes, IN, Lincoln) grabbed five rebounds with
Josh Green (Campbellsburg, IN, West Washington) handing out four assists.
The Quakers got off to a slow start as they fell behind 16-4 with 11:34 left in the opening period.
Earlham was able to cut the deficit to seven points with the last time coming at the 2:20 mark of the first half when it was 26-19.
Anderson finished the half with a 9-4 run to lead 35-23 at intermission. In the second half, the Ravens were able to pull away to get the win.
The Quakers (2-17, 0-12) visit the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Wednesday. The HCAC contest starts at 7:30 p.m.
