EC Faces Top HCAC Team

Box Score RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College men's basketball team had three players in double figures on Saturday as the Quakers fell 79-48 to Hanover College, which is the top squad in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Marcus Bledsoe (Indianapolis, IN, Ritter) led the Quakers with 12 points and four rebounds in the game on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center, while Ryan Taylor (Martinsville, IN, Martinsville) finished with 11 points.

Josh Green (Campbellsburg, IN, West Washington) tossed in 10 points and led the way with three steals.

The Quakers next led as the Panthers (10-2, 6-0) jumped out to a 16-2 advantage with 14:44 left in the first half. Earlham was able to cut the deficit to 11 points twice with the last time coming after Bledsoe scored to make 332-21 with 4:50 remaining in the opening period.

The was as close as the Quakers could get as Hanover led 38-24 by intermission and then added to the margin in the second half.

Earlham (2-11, 0-6) plays at home on Wednesday against Defiance College. The HCAC affair gets underway at 7:30 p.m.
