EC Visits Manchester

Box Score NO. MANCHESTER, Ind. — The Earlham College men's soccer team surrendered a pair of goals within 17 seconds on Saturday as the Quakers fell 2-1 to Manchester College.

The Spartans (5-10-1, 3-4) scored their first goal early in the second half at 47:03 of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest. Manchester's final score game at 47:20.

Later in the period, Earlham cut the deficit in half with a goal from Tamru Taye (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Waterford Kamhlaba) at 74:54.

The shots in the match were even at 8-8 with Manchester holding a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Earlham goalkeeper Chris Marshall (Highland Park, NJ , Highland Park HS) had one save for the Quakers.

The Quakers (4-11-1, 3-3-1) are at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Wednesday. The HCAC match begins at 8 p.m.
