CINCINNATI, Ohio — The winning streak is now at four.
The Earlham College women's soccer team won its fourth straight on Saturday as the Quakers blanked the College of Mount St. Joseph 2-0.
It was also the third consecutive victory in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference for the Quakers (6-4-1, 3-0), who are tied for first place in the league with Transylvania University and Hanover College.
Ikumi Doucette (Berwyn Heights, MD, Eleanor Roosevelt) scored her fifth goal of the season at 24:21 to give the Quakers a 1-0 advantage.
In the second half,
Ryder Comstock (Yellow Springs, OH, Yellow Springs) found the net for the fourth time this fall at 50:55 with an assist from
Joy Doucette (Berwyn Heights, MD, Eleanor Roosevelt), which was her first of the year.
Ikumi Doucette now has 10 points in 2011 and is second on the squad behind her twin sister,Joy Doucette, who has 15 points (six goals and three assists).
Earlham goalkeeper
Kate Franks (Hopewell, OH, West Muskingum ) had seven saves for the Quakers. She now has four shutouts this fall and five in her career.
Next up for the Quakers is a visit to Transylvania on Wednesday. The HCAC affair in Lexington gets underway at 7 p.m.
