EC Splits Homecoming Matches

RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College volleyball squad split a pair of matches on Saturday as the Quakers celebrated Homecoming.

The Quakers defeated Central State University 25-13, 25-13, 25-12 to begin the afternoon on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center. Earlham finished the day with a 25-23, 25-18, 25-16 loss to Cincinnati Christian University.

Meg Huffmeyer (Osgood, Indiana, Jac-Cen-Del) led the Quakers with 10 kills and 11 digs in the win over Central State (0-6), while Jazmyn Corlew (Elyria, OH, Elyria) added eight kills with a pair of blocks. Andrea Thompson (McCordsville, IN, Muncie Burris) finished with six kills.

Ashlee Heberger (Fairport, NY, Fairport) had 23 digs and Kazondra Ramos (Commerce, CA, El Rancho) had 11 digs.

Against Cincinnati Christian (6-3), Thompson led the way with nine kills and five blocks.

Heberger contributed in several categories with six kills, 16 assists, 11 digs and four aces.

Corlew finished with seven kills and four blocks, while Huffmeyer added four aces.

Earlham (2-10) visits Hanover College on Wednesday. The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match starts at 7 p.m.
