RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College volleyball team fell in its home opener on Wednesday night 25-17, 25-20, 25-19 to Manchester College on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.

"I was happy with the beginning of the match and how we fought hard at the end," Earlham Head Coach Loni Clark said. "We just have to fix some things for us to be more consistent throughout a match."

Andrea Thompson (McCordsville, IN, Muncie Burris) led the Quakers with seven kills and 12 digs, while Ashlee Heberger (Fairport, NY, Fairport) had 15 assists.

Kazondra Ramos (Commerce, CA, El Rancho) had three aces and contributed 11 digs. Jazmyn Corlew (Elyria, OH, Elyria) had two solo blocks.

The Quakers (0-5) play Muskingum University in the first round of the Washington & Jefferson Invitational on Saturday at 1 p.m.
