EC Faces Anderson

Box Score RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College men's basketball team fell 83-57 to Anderson University in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest on Schuckman Court.

Ryan Taylor (Martinsville, IN, Martinsville) led the Quakers with 15 points, while Kyle Calder (Crawfordsville, IN, North Montgomery) added 10 points four rebounds and three assists.

Marcus Bledsoe (Indianapolis, IN, Ritter) finished with nine points and Dustin Rusk (Frankfort, IN, Clinton Prairie) tossed in seven.

Colton Bragg (Richmond, IN, Richmond) contributed six points, a team-high five rebounds and three assists.

The game was tight early and it was tied the third time at 10-10 with 14:25 left in the opening stanza.

Taylor gave the Quakers what turned out to be their last lead of the contest when he drilled a 3-pointer with 12:30 on the clock.

Moments later, Bragg canned a trey as he cut Anderson's lead to 17-16 at 10:11.

Anderson (10-9, 6-6) was able to hold its advantage as the Ravens led 32-24 after Marty Broderick (Mooresville, IN, Mooresville) hit 1-of-2 free throws with 4:20 left in the first half.

The Ravens finished the half with a 13-4 run to build a 45-28 lead by intermission.

In the second half, Anderson was able to maintain its margin to hold off the Quakers.
 
The Quakers (0-19, 0-12) are on the road Wednesday night at Transylvania University. The HCAC contest begins at 7:30 p.m.
