Winning Streak Snapped

Box Score TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — An overtime goal was the difference on Wednesday as the Earlham College women's soccer team had a five-game winning streak snapped.

The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (9-3-3, 4-2-2) scored at 97:05 in the first overtime of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference affair to post a 1-0 victory.

Despite the loss, the regionally-ranked Quakers, who are No. 5 in the latest Great Lakes poll, still control their own destiny in the chase for the HCAC regular season crown. A victory over the College of Mount St. Joseph on Saturday will give the Quakers the outright championship.

The Quakers led in shots 15-7, while the corner kicks were tied at 4-4.

Earlham goalkeeper Ashley (A.J.) Johnson (Columbus, OH, Ohio Virtual Academy) had one save for the Quakers.

The Quakers (10-5-1, 6-1-1) end the regular season at home against Mount St. Joseph as Saturday's Senior Day contest gets underway at 1 p.m.
