Box Score DEFIANCE, Ohio — The Earlham College volleyball team returned to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Wednesday as the Quakers fell 25-8, 25-13, 25-18 to Defiance College.

Meg Huffmeyer (Osgood, IN, Jac-Cen-Del) topped the Quakers with five kills against the Yellow Jackets (10-8, 1-0), while Jazmyn Corlew (Elyria, OH, Elyria) added four kills and a team-high five blocks.

Ashlee Heberger (Fairport, NY, Fairport) led the Quakers with 12 assists.

Kazondra Ramos (Commerce, CA, El Rancho) had 11 digs to lead the Quakers. Huffmeyer and Keely Skehan (San Francisco, CA, Drew) finished with seven digs each.

Earlham (5-9, 0-2) plays a pair of matches at home on Saturday. In a HCAC contest, the Quakers face the College of Mount St. Joseph on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center at 1 p.m. Earlham ends the afternoon with a non-conference match with Indiana University-East at 5 p.m.
