Quakers Play a Pair of Home Matches

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College volleyball squad played a pair of matches on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center on Saturday afternoon.

The College of Mount St. Joseph defeated the Quakers 25-13, 25-20, 25-21 in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest.

In the second contest of the day for the Quakers, Indiana University-East picked up a 25-3, 25-9, 25-15 win.

Ashley Hedrick (Rushville, IN, Rushville) led the Quakers with seven kills in the opener against the Lions (6-10, 3-0). Meg Huffmeyer (Osgood, IN, Jac-Cen-Del) added six kills.

Ashlee Heberger (Fairport, NY, Fairport) topped the Quakers with 14 assists, while Kazondra Ramos (Commerce, CA, El Rancho) had a team-high 14 digs.

Against IU-East, Hedrick and Eunice Onyekweli (Laurel, MD, Barrie School) led the way for the Quakers with five kills with Huffmeyer finishing with four kills.

Heberger again had 14 assists and Huffmeyer had 11 digs.

Earlham (5-11, 0-3) returns to action on Wednesday at Franklin College. The HCAC affair gets underway at 7 p.m.
