Second Half Goals Hurt Quakers

Box Score RICHMOND, Ind. â€" Two scores in the second half were the difference on Saturday as Bluffton University defeated the Earlham College women's soccer team 2-1 on Matlack Field.

Abigail McCullough scored at 11:36 an assist from Annie Frodeman to put the Quakers on top in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest with the Beavers (3-6, 1-2).

Bluffton scored goals at 49:07 and 74:55 to get the win.

Earlham goalkeeper A.J. Johnson had five saves for the Quakers. After Bluffton's second goal, Frodeman subbed for Johnson in goal when she had to leave the contest. Frodeman had one save.

Earlham led 15-12 in shots, while Bluffton had a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.

The Quakers (1-7-2, 0-2-1) travel to Hanover College on Wednesday for a match at 4 p.m.
