Quakers Split Matches

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 NO. MANCHESTER, Ind. â€" The Earlham College volleyball squad came away with a split in Saturday's matches at Manchester University.

The hosts Spartans defeated Earlham 23-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-12 in a Heartland Collegiate Atheltic Conference contest. The Quakers rebounded to beat Oberlin College 25-21, 9-25, 25-14, 25-19 in their final match of the afternoon.

Against Oberlin (8-13), Mikah Sizemore led the Quakers with 13 kills and five service aces. Emily Lim finished with seven kills, while Heather Hayden added six kills.

Morgan Thompson topped the squad with 22 assists. Kazondra Ramos led the way for Earlham with 13 digs. Jolene Wells added four blocks.

Sizemore also led the Quakers with seven kills against Manchester (5-16, 1-4). Jazmyn Corlew contributed seven kills.

Ashley Hedrick had 12 assists and Thompson finished with 10 assists. Hayden Had four service aces.

Ramos and Lim had six digs each, while Wells had three blocks.

The Quakers (4-21, 0-5) return to action on Wednesday as they entertain the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Schuckman Court at 7:30 p.m.
