EC Stays in Third Place

Box Score ANDERSON, Ind. â€" All of the action was in the second half as the Earlham College men's soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision to Anderson University.

Despite the loss, the Quakers are still in third place in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference at 5-2 with a 9-8 mark overall.

The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is on top at 8-4-4 and 5-0-2. Hanover College is second at 9-6-2 and 5-1-1.

On Saturday, Jacob Ebbs got the scoring started for the Quakers with a goal at 46:38 with an assist from Ameer Yusuf.

From that point, it was all Ravens (8-9, 4-3) as they scored four times to move into fourth place in the HCAC.

Anderson led 20-9 in shots and 8-2 in corner kicks.

Earlham goalkeeper Aaron Falsetto had six saves for the Quakers.

The Quakers are back in action on Wednesday at home against the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Tuesday. The HCAC affair on Matlack Field is at 4 p.m.
