Box Score XENIA, Ohio â€" A penalty kick by Jacob Ebbs in the second overtime on Wednesday gave the Earlham College men's soccer team a 2-1 win over Defiance College.

The Yellow Jackets (6-6, 1-1) took a 1-0 lead at 13:20 of the first half of the Heartland College Athletic Conference match on the turf field at the Athletes in Action Complex.

Arsene Kabeya scored an unassisted goal at 72:01 of the second period to tie the contest.

Ebbs scored his game-winner at 97:32 of the second extra session.

Earlham goalkeeper Aaron Falsetto had one save in the contest as the Quakers led 18-6 in shots and 4-0 in corner kicks.

The Quakers (6-6, 2-0) entertain Bluffton University on Saturday. The HCAC affair on Matlack Field starts at 3 p.m.
