Box Score XENIA, Ohio â€" The Earlham College women's soccer team and Defiance College played to a 2-2 draw on Wednesday night in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference affair at the Athletes in Action Complex.

Defiance (3-7-2, 0-1-1) scored the first goal of the match at 27:34 before the Quakers tied it late in the opening period. Cherrah Barclay scored an unassisted goal at 40:56.

In the second half, the Quakers took the lead at 66:24 when Barclay scored with an assist from Abigail McCullough.

The Yellow Jackets sent the contest into overtime with what turned out to be the last score of the match at 84:10.

Earlham goalkeeper A.J. Johnson had three saves for the Quakers. The Yellow Jackets led 11-9 in shots and 5-3 in corner kicks.

The Quakers (1-6-2, 0-1-1) play Bluffton University at home on Saturday. The conference contest begins at 1 p.m.
