DELAWARE, Ohio â€" The Earlham College volleyball team opened the season on Friday at the Bishop Invitational.

The Quakers fell 25-20, 25-22, 25-17 to Grove City College (1-0) in the first round of the tourney hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University.

Jazmyn Corlew led the Quakers with 10 kills, while Mikah Sizemore added nine. Jolene Wells had eight kills and Meg Huffmeyer had six.

Morgan Thompson topped Earlham with 31 assists and 11 digs. Corlew finished with seven digs, while Kazondra Ramos and Emily Lim had six each.

Earlham (0-1) finishes the event on Saturday with a pair of contests. The Quakers face Ohio Wesleyan at 10 a.m., and Wilmington College at 11:30 a.m.
