EC Splits a Pair of Volleyball Matches

DELAWARE, Ohio â€" The Earlham College volleyball team split a pair of matches as the Quakers finished the weekend at the Bishop Invitational.

The Quakers started the day with a 25-20, 25-17, 25-19 loss to the host squad Ohio Wesleyan University before bouncing back with a 25-19, 25-22, 25-13 victory over Wilmington College (0-3).

Against the Bishops (3-0), Jazmyn Corlew and Emily Lim led the Quakers with eight kills each. Jolene Wells added seven kills. Corlew finished with four blocks.

Morgan Thompson led the way with 23 assists, while Kazondra Ramos had 11 digs.

Corlew had 16 kills and four blocks in the win over Wilmington, which was the first career victory for new Earlham Head Coach Jason Yhost. Wells ended with seven kills.

Ashley Hedrick had 33 assists for the Quakers. Lim had 10 digs and Ramos contributed nine digs.

The Quakers (1-2) return to action on Wednesday with a visit to Wilmington at 7 p.m..
