Quakers Battle for Freedom Trophy

Box Score OBERLIN, Ohio â€" A second half goal was the difference on Wednesday as the Earlham College men's soccer team fell 1-0 at Oberlin College in a battle for the Freedom Trophy.

The Yeomen (4-1-1) scored at the 51:09 mark of the contest.

Oberlin led 16-9 in shots and 6-3 in corner kicks.

Earlham goalkeeper Aaron Falsetto had six saves for the Quakers.

The Freedom Trophy was established in 2005 by the 1954 Earlham men's soccer team when that squad was inducted into the Earlham Athletics Hall of Fame. Oberlin now leads the series 5-3.

The Quakers (3-4) play Westminster College of Missouri in their next match on Saturday at 11 a.m. It will be played in Schaumberg, Ill.
