During the 1997 season, Shane Meridith continued into his fourth year as the Head Coach for the Quakers. His assistant coach, Laurel Stewart began her second year. With co-captains Emily Horn and Mary Johnstone leading the team, they achieved and overall record of 8-3 and a conference record of 3-5.

The leading scorer, receiving the Golden Boot award, was Hilde Thomason after scoring eight goals on the season. Heather Stewart, Hilde Thomason, and Olivia Jones each had two assists on the season. The Team's Most Valuable Offensive Player was named Olivia Jones. The Most Valuable Defensive Player award was split between Emily Horn and Missy Beckrest. Daniella Brahms was named the Most Valuable First Year and Kat Zimmerman was named the Most Improved Player.

st Team award for Hilde Thomason, All-NCAC 2
