TERRE HAUTE, Ind. â€" The Earlham College men's basketball team visited the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Wednesday for the annual John Mutchner Cup game.
The Engineers claimed the trophy with a 76-64 win over the Quakers in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest.
Jack O'Flaherty led the Quakers with a career-high 25 points to go with five assists. He matched his best effort from last year's 25-point outing against Oberlin College.

Michael Parker added 18 points and six rebounds. Kirk Douglas and Chris Holmes tossed in nine points each. Lajay Kelly finished with six rebounds.
The Quakers fell behind early in the game, but they rallied to tied the contest at 7-7 when O'Flaherty hit a 3-pointer at the 16:33 mark of the first half.
Rose-Hulman (9-3, 4-1) answered with a run that allowed the Engineers to build a 21-9 advantage with 10:53 left in the opening period.
Earlham responded to close the gap to 23-22 when O'Flaherty drilled a trey with 7:01 remaining. The Engineers eventually led 38-33 by the intermission.
In the second half, a 3-pointer by Parker got the Quakers close at 42-41 with 15:21 left to play.
The Engineers were able to pull away from that point as they built a double-digit advantage.
John Mutchner, a longtime head coach at Rose-Hulman and a member of the athletic hall of fame at both schools, sponsors the annual game between the Quakers and the Engineers.
Earlham (2-10, 1-4) travels to the College of Mount St. Joseph on Saturday. The HCAC contest begins at 3 p.m. Â
